Characteristic analysis of a slotless self-bearing motor

This paper presents experimental results from a slotless self-bearing motor prototype, validating theoretical equations that describe the relationships between force, torque, and their corresponding currents. The findings demonstrate that the measured ratios of force and torque to current align closely with the theoretical predictions. The influence of rotational speed on these relationships was also examined; at 2,500 rpm under a load force of 1.2 N, the measured current was up to 16.9% lower than the theoretical value. Based on these observations, the study delineates the operational limits of the model and proposes avenues for design enhancements and future research.
